Hielly Martinez

My name is Hielly Martinez, and I am the proud owner of a State Farm Insurance agency in the Bronx, NY, located at 251 E 138th Street. I earned the privilege of becoming a State Farm Agent in October 2008 after spending three years as a State Farm team member. I use the word “earned” intentionally because a State Farm agency is not a business you can simply purchase. It requires dedication, hard work, and a genuine passion for helping others. That passion was instilled in me by my family.

Growing up in the Bronx during the 1980s and 1990s was not always easy, especially as part of an immigrant family from the Dominican Republic. My father worked tirelessly as a factory worker during the day and a taxi driver at night, while my mother raised three boys with strength, humility, and unwavering values. Their example shaped who I am today, and I credit much of my success to the lessons they taught me about hard work, perseverance, and treating people with respect.

Owning a business was never something I imagined for myself growing up, but today I cannot imagine doing anything else. For nearly two decades as a State Farm Agent, I have had the opportunity to help individuals, families, and business owners protect what matters most while creating stability for my own family. My wife is also a State Farm Agent, and together we are raising our three children with many of the same values that guided me throughout my life. Helping people manage everyday risks, recover from the unexpected, and prepare for the future continues to be one of the most rewarding parts of my career.

I graduated with Honors from DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx, earned a BA in Economics from Binghamton University in 2003, and am a proud member of La Unidad Latina Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Inc. (Fall 2000). I am also honored to be a Lifetime President’s Club Qualifier, a 15-time Chairman Circle Qualifier, a Senior Vice President’s Club Qualifier, an Exotic Ambassador Travel Qualifier, a State Farm Silver Honor Club Qualifier, and a Small Business Leaders Qualifier. Throughout my career, I have also helped develop nine successful Agent Aspirants and have proudly participated in State Farm’s Agency Diversity and Inclusion Group.
